On Saturday night March 5th, 2011, Temple Beth Elohim of Old Bethpage held their "Coffee House Event".  A few talented congregants joined together for a one-night show and performed songs from the 60's and 70's,  set in a scene reminiscent of the old coffee houses of that era.  The celebration was packed by temple members, family and friends who were glad to get out to socialize after the grueling winter.  For this special event, the reception room was transformed into a cozy coffeehouse, with linen-draped tables and soft lighting.  The band and vocalists played old favorites, from the Beatles to Pete Seeger, while the audience sang along.  The sold-out event was presented by the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Elohim.
