Documentary "Holy Kitchens" at Library Wednesday Night

A nasty early spring day is forecast with rain and snow possible Wednesday morning. It might be a good day to take in a thought-provoking documentary playing Wednesday night at the Plainview library.

Wednesday's events include:

1. The , has a showing of the documentary "Holy Kitchens" a story about "langar," the Sikh tradition of offering meals to the community. It is followed by a discussion. Movie and talk from 7:30–9 p.m. Free; open to all.

2. There are two Bible study sessions Wednesday at the , one at 10:30 a.m and the other at 7:30 p.m. Beginners welcome.

3. The offers veterans a wide array of health care and other services. The facility is located at the old office complex off Old Country Road.

4. The Nassau County in Roslyn has lots to offer, including a display of the poster art of the 1917 October Revolution. These graphic, inexpensively produced posters carried the Revolution’s message to the masses. Open from 11:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
