Plainview Library Offers Artists' Demonstrations Monday

It's one of many events scheduled for the library today.

 

The Plainview Library offers a great opportunity Monday night to experience the art of painting up close. It's one of a host of events, lectures, and programs scheduled at the library today, ranging from Yoga to tax help for seniors. Click here for a full list:

Monday's options include:

1. Did you always want to try your hand at painting but didn't get around to it? Here's your chance to learn: There's a free watercolor demonstration Monday night at the Plainview Old Bethpage Public Library. The seminar is directed by watercolor artist Jan Guarino Both are presented by the Independent Art Society. Refreshments will be served; open to all: 7-9 p.m.

2. Hempstead challenges Plainview in boys track today at Plainview JFK High School. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.

3.  Our Lady of Mercy holds a Lenten retreat Monday from 7:30-8:30 p.m.: "The Resurrection of Jesus" with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Confessions will also be heard.

4. Jericho visits Plainview in boys tennis today at 4:30 p.m.

5.
