Plainview Man Held in Narcotics Bust
Probation officers make visit, find 'assortment' of narcotics.
A Plainview man faces drug charges after police and probation officers discovered an array of illegal substances in his Plainview home.
Nassau detectives charged Justin Kolmer, 21, of Plainview, with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Saturday, police reported Tuesday.
According to detectives, Nassau County probation officers visited Kolmer's home shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday as a condition of his probation on a previous conviction. There, they found a "multiple assortment of controlled substances," police said.
Kolmer was placed under arrest and taken to the Second Precinct in Woodbury for processing.
Kolmer is now charged with multiple drug possession charges and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.
He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Monday.

Not great to read comments like this, they are cruel. It is Karma. If you know the kid then you know he does need help. Jail doesn't rehabilitate, just cost tax payers money. Pray for him and others like him that they can someday see the light.

I have known this man for a long time. Although he has made a few mistakes, he is still a very good person at heart and does mean well. Jacob, whoever you are, jail is not the place for a young man like Justin. He is a good human being who is searching for a righteous path like all the rest of us. I have known him my whole life, and he is no criminal. And Joe Dowd, does it make you feel nice to put people in the public eye like that and humiliate them? May god have mercy on your soul you sad pathetic man. Justin would never hurt a fly, he may be mixed up in some risky business, but it is completely unnecessary to put him on the spot like this for everyone to see. How the hell do you sleep at night Mr. Dowd. Get your facts straight and write a story worth writing, not one to just blatantly hurt Justin and his family, you are sick in the head.
