Readers' Choice: Best Chicken Wings in Plainview
Wings are more than appetizers; they are bone-sucking goodness. Which joint makes the best? Time to weigh in.
Do you like them crispy or naked? Hot and spicy or lip-smacking sweet? We’re talking wings, of course.
Chicken wings are a staple in any culture and they have a place on the menus of nearly every restaurant, pub or take-out venue in Plainview.
Time to weigh in. Plainview Patch is looking to unearth the best wings in town. Readers' Choice is a new weekly feature where we’re asking you – our readers – to tell us your top picks.
Each Monday we’ll list our nominees – this week it’s wings – and ask for your recommendation. Did we leave your go-to spot off the list? Go ahead and add it in comments.
Wednesday we’ll narrow the field, taking your recommendations to put to a vote in the ultimate food-fight poll.
Friday afternoon we’ll announce a winner. Wing a ding ding!
Here are the nominees for Plainview's best wings:

Chicken Factory, Hoboken, NJ. They are not your typical wing, and they also offer half or full chickens cooked the same way. I like the heat and creative spices elsewhere, but this place is GOOD. Sweet and Spicy is my recommendation.

I haven't been there in a while but I would say the Main Event. The food at the Plainview Diner is mostly poor. It's more a place to meet friends than get a good meal.

In truth, I have never ordered Chicken Wings in any of the other places listed, so can't compare, ( don't think of them as being on a menu in a Chinese Restaurant, so eliminate them ) - same goes with Italian Eateries - but with Fireside, they have always been known for their chicken, lines at that counter, you need numbers, especially so in the warmer months ~ and so, I figure, the product has got to be fresh! Have never been disappointed - and order some of each ( sadly, there are never any leftovers! )
