Protest Held at US Rep. King's Office Over Proposed Terror Hearings
Pro and anti-King groups stage rallies Tuesday.
A heated protest rally and counter-demonstration took place Tuesday outside the Massapequa office of US Rep. Peter King, R-Seaford, over his plans to hold Congressional hearings on homegrown Islamic terrorism.
More than a hundred protestors on both sides of the issue gathered outside the Seaford Republican's Park Boulevard office to voice their opinions on King's controversial stance on American Muslims. King, elected to a ninth term in a landslide victory last November, is the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
King, said in a recent radio interview that more than 80 percent of mosques are "controlled by radical imams," citing the 1999 testimony of a Muslim leader to the state department as evidence. He also said in a 2007 interview that "there are too many mosques in this country."
Opposing what they call the "demonizing of our Muslim American neighbors," among the crowd gathered outside the office were the Catholic organization Pax Christi, the Islamic Center of Long Island, the Long Island Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives, the Interfaith Alliance of Long Island, and the Muslim Peace Coalition.
Sister Jeanne Clark of Pax Christi lead a group that delivered a letter to King's office, signed by approximately 80 Long Island religious leaders, asking King to ensure his hearings are fair.
King himself was not in his office, but the letter was accepted by his staff.
"We're here to stand in solidarity with the Muslim community on Long Island," Clark said. "We think that Congressman King's hearings are misguided...that they’re creating a more toxic atmosphere and alienating people."
Imtiaz Rahi, a Muslim protestor, said he personally finds King's allegations deeply offensive.
"Peter King believes that Muslims and the mosque managements are not cooperating in the investigations," Rahi said. "This is not true...we are loyal citizens."
Shaik Ubaid, co-chair of the New York chapter of the Muslim Peace Coalition, said he just wants balanced and impartial treatment for his people.
"King is painting the Muslim community with a broad brush," he said. "We want the hearings to be held in a very scientific way, instead of inviting Muslim-bashers to come and say stupid things."
In turn, an equally passionate counter-protest gathered outside of police-erected barriers, yelling anti-Muslim and pro-American slogans at demonstrators and waving Gadsden flags high in the air.
The famous yellow flags, displaying a coiled snake and the phrase "Don't Tread On Me," have recently become known as an adopted symbol of the American Tea Party movement and at least one sign at the protest referenced the Tea Party, although the counter protestors Patch spoke declined to say if they were affiliated with any organization.
"We're here to support Peter King, and those people are against Peter King," said one of the counter-protesters, who declined to be named. "He wants to investigate the people who are behind the mosques, and find out who all these people are, and he wants to question where all the money's coming from, and these Muslims are against that."
"Personally, I'm all for the investigations," another un-named counter-protester said, waving an American flag. "I have friends that died in 9/11, and if someone had asked those pilots what they were doing, taking flying lessons without learning how to land, don't you think that would have made sense?"
Another King supporter, who asked to be identified only as Janet, said that this has been a long time in coming.
"I think Representative King is doing the right thing, investigating the radical Muslims," she said. "They're here...they have terrorist cells, and this should have been done a long time ago. I was wondering why it wasn't since 9/11. It doesn't make sense."
The two opposing groups shouted at each other throughout the protest, and while the situation was tense at times, the presence of Nassau County police officers kept things peaceful.
The Muslim Peace Coalition's Shaik Ubaid alleged that many of the angry and vocal counter-protesters were, in fact, not local residents.
"We expected it- these are people who are bussed in," he said. "In a climate of fear and insecurity, it's very easy to hate-monger."
James Duffy, of Islip, wasn't taking sides. However, one thing in particular inspired him to take the trek to Massapequa this morning.
"The truth...that's what brought me out," he said. "You know how you find out the truth? Possibly though a Congressional hearing. If there's no threat to America from Muslims, then I think these people need that exoneration. We need to know that America is safe internally, that all of the problems are coming from the outside. But if there's a cancer here, we need to root it out."
King remained defiant in the face of the protest.
“The Long Island region has a population of almost three million people, barely 100 showed up to protest the hearings," he said in a statement. "I will not be intimidated, I will not back down, the hearings are going forward.”

It is always the same Tea Party people at these events, spewing their hatred and trying to provoke a confrontation . They are always trying to pretend that the American flag belongs to them. The worst part about today was Tea Party activists harassing American women and children of the Islamic faith, I think even Congressman King would have been insulted by that performance. I know it made me sick to see such blanket hate.

Please do not assume that the Tea Party Movement is made up of these radical activists. I belong to the Tea Party group and we have peaceful, intelligent and open conversations on matters that support our views. We are NOT hate-mongers looking for a fight! We show support for those who are working to make our country safer for all Americans, and groups dedicated to turn this depression around, as painful as that may be. We do not support legislators who run out of their state to hide from their duty of casting a vote. We do support those politicians who are trying to right all that is currently WRONG with our governing body...a huge task! Undoing years of fiscal abuse, waste and illegal, behind the locked doors shady deals promised and implimented. ENOUGH! Time to kick out all of those who so blatently take personal advantage of their position in government. Time to clean the HOUSE!

I support Rep. King in his investigation of the mosques. It is his responsibility to protect the American people, and, therefore, his responsibility to hold these hearings, to hopefully dispel any of the fears and questions surrounding the mosques.

Re the false 80 % claim--the 1999 statement by a Sufi (of a particular Naqshbandi Order) Muslim leader was intended to differentiate Saudi-influenced orthodoxy from sufi and progressive mosques. It was not intended to indicate support for terror or militancy. Mr King (and others) have been repeating and repeating and distorting this one statement.
Moreover tha sufi group has indicated that they are lesss concerned about this saudi influence than they used ot be and there is an increasingly tolerant and "american" style of Islam prevailing here in the USA... There are hundreds of mosques in NYC and Long Island. They are increasinly engaged civicly and are becoming real forces for stability. They can help youth withstand extremist calls on the internet. But All are diverse.
Of course all Muslims (like other people of faith) should care about social justice. Caring about Palestinian rights or Kashmir does not equate to support for terror-- any more than support for freedom from oppression in Egypt equates to the "creeping jihad" fantasies of the anti Muslim right wing.

This is no different than Senator Joseph McCarthy looking for communists within the film industry back in the 1950’s. We need to remember that McCarthy was eventually censured by his peers in the Senate. If we haven’t learned from the McCarthy incident, then we’re doomed to regress 60 years in civil rights progress. McCarthy’s communist witch hunt was political grandstanding, fear mongering, and pandering for personal political gain, and isn’t it obvious that’s what King is doing now?
Peter King is a ranking member of the Committee on Homeland Security and all it’s subcommittees: The United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, The United States House Intelligence Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, and The United States House Intelligence Subcommittee on Technical and Tactical Intelligence. King should certainly be aware of what the FBI, CIA, TSA, and all the other alphabet soup groups responsible for protecting America from terrorists are doing, and if they are not doing enough, in his opinion, then he has the both the authority and the duty to change that from within these committees.
In other words, he doesn’t need to run his own Spanish inquisition to get this job done. He should leave it to the professionals. So why is he doing this? Isn’t it obvious now?

That has not been the case for Catholics, for Methodists, for Sikhs, for Hindus...it is the plain fact that 99.9% terrorists in America and overseas, are Muslim. Who else should we look at? Well, Mr. Germino, I seriously doubt that Muslims are the ones putting swastikas and nooses all over the place and attacking Hispanics. When Peter King takes the threat of right wing extremism as seriously as he does Islamic based terrorism, I might take HIM seriously.
As for blaming the events of 9/11/01 on 19 people with boxcutters, we've been through all that before. Jet fuel does not burn hot enough to melt steel. That's why jet engines are made out of steel. This is a simple scientific fact that most of the country seems to have forgotten in all the hysteria about 9/11.
As a survivor of those attacks, if *I* can move beyond kneejerk fear and anger and instead call for a calm, rational scientific method as I seek justice for those who attempted to murder me on that day, why can't anyone else?
Instead of going on a racist witch hunt against law abiding American citizens, perhaps we should simply conduct a new, impartial and scientific investigation of the 9/11 attacks.

We have been repeatedly attacked by people of the muslim faith- there is no arguement about that! Rep. King's first and foremost job is to keep America safe. I applaud him for taking on this issue and investigating these mosques. If there is nothing to hide and no ties to terrorist money connected to each of these mosques, fine- let them be cleared and move on to the next one. But they must be investigated! Look at what is going on in Europe- Muslims are taking over whole countries! Europe's population has grown, but growing with an average of 1.3 children per Europian family vs. 8.1 children being born into each Muslim family! Is this about to start happening in the USA now. I, for one, do not want to become a minority to the Muslim population. There is definately a huge push to populate America with as many Muslims as possible...hence all the Mosques being built. WHY? Sure makes ME wonder!!! Are they coming in peace looking to adapt to and love America and the American way of life, or is there another agenda going on here?

People will disagree. That was clear at the protest at Rep. King's office yesterday.
What is not acceptable is the manner in which the 'King supporters' engage. Some carried signs and talked with people 'across the police barricade'. Perhaps this is helpful.
Others, are ignorant because they choose to remain ignorant. They do not engage. They spew.
Had Rep. King been at the rally, he would have been put off by the way some of his people behaved. Whether or not he would have expressed his dismay--well, that's another story.
His 'Muslim hearings' are a showcase for King. His role is bring people together--not isolate and discourage interaction. That he will limit the number of people testifying at the March hearings, and that he has carefully decided who should speak--and more important, who should not speak--speaks to how he perceives his role as the elected congressman for the residents of CD 3 and for all Americans who will witness his carefully staged hearing.
Yesterday's outcome: Score a positive for people of reason and understanding. Score a negative for too many of the pro-King demonstrators.

The small amount of Muslim demonstrators was supplemented by the usual assortment of senior aged left-over 1960 Hippies still spewing their peace at any cost mantra, unrepentant liberals who will support any left wing cause and all were ably assisted by a Kumbaya singing guitarist who probably yearned to be in the Grateful Dead.
Most of the Tea Party and Friends of Peter King supporters were generally quiet and outnumbered the opposition group 2 to 1.
Then there was this one individual with the fur hat who clearly was so "out there" that no one wanted to be associated with him. Before he left he was accusing the police of following him while he was driving and not going after speeders. Clearly he was a man on a mission...just hope his mission is somewhere else on Long Island

When the people of Northern Ireland were taking turns killing each other the people doing the killing were referred to as Protestant terrorist and Catholic radicals or extremists! No one back then complained that a religious word was used to describe some pretty bad people. There are many terrorists groups in the world today. What King is focusing on is a group of terrorist who besides being terrorist have another comon bond of being Muslim. If we say " Muslim terroist" is that not at accurate description of this group? They are terrorist and they are Muslim. This is a group that has harmed many people and should be watched. Why if the "Muslim" word is used before terrorist means that we are slandering Muslim people? How many times have we heard the phrase "Italian mafia" or the "Russian" mob? Does it mean that all Italians are in the mafia or all Russians are part of a mob? The group of people that seem to be threatening innocent people them most nowadays are Muslim terrorist. Let's investigate that group, wipe them out, and then move on to the next group that wants to kill innocent people for no reason whether they be Italian mafia, Russian mob or whatever group professes evil. Let's not get caught up arguing about a descriptive word while innocent people die. "Homeland Security" is an idea straight out of Nazi Germany, except there it was called The Fatherland. The Department of Hopeless Insecurity was created by George W. Bush as an exploitative outgrowth of the traitorous "Reichstag Fire" acts of 9/11/01. It was swiftly packed with appointed cronies of his specifically to get around existing watchdog relationships between the FBI, CIA and NSA which (at least partially) prevented abuses of power.
Anyone who fails to see the historical parallels between Blackwater and the Nazi SS, or the Department of Homeland Security and the Gestapo, needs a serious reality check. The Department of Hopeless Insecurity needs to be completely disbanded and it's resources allocated to the other three agencies who should, ostensibly, keep watch on each other to prevent abuses.

It is obviously "Homeland Security" if it does not involve right wing terrorism. It amazes me how some people try to rationalize and make excuses. What person in their right mind would commit a terrorist act? That domain is not reserved for any race , religion or political affiliation . And because of that, if there is to be an investigation we should be looking at all terrorists no matter who they are.

This PC (political correctness) is costing us time and money...neither of which we have enough of. God Bless the mosque with peaceful intentions, not harboring insurgents and money laundering. Too many of the mosques are built with no records of where the money is coming from. That is enough to have it investigated as to who is actually in charge of that particular mosque. There are many easy solutions to this problem that do not require much thought. Why dont we make it easy and deport all the Muslims we can and then round up the rest that were born here and hold them in internment camps until we are sure they have what you call peaceful intentions? Then we can seal the borders to keep more from coming here. When we get done with that group, then maybe we can go after everyone else .

The arab student in Texas who wants to blow up a few places with bombs inside dolls is not just a figment of imagination. He wanted to make "jihad"! What group gave us that term? Is there really any difference between Muslim and Islamic?

Let's Go After the Buddhists
words and music by Roy Zimmerman
There's an enemy living among us
I think you who I mean
Nobody really knows a thing about them
Not even Martin Sheen
They're a threat to our standard of living
And the cheap supply of oil
I say let's rout their sorry asses out
Before they soil our American soil
Oh, let's go after the Buddhists
Let's knock some shaven heads
Those humanistic, non-materialistic,
Pacifistic slugabeds
They're ego-less and nonviolent
Un-American and weird
They just sit and stare at the wall and their
God doesn't even have a beard
Oh, I don't want to say too much about it
They might be listening right now
Meet me later in the parking lot
I got the yellow El Camino with the
Bumper sticker saying,
"Isolationism — Ask Me How!"
It's a nation of freedom and tolerance
And that's just plain dangerous
Let's wipe out terrorism everywhere
Except, of course, where the terrorists are us
Oh, let's go after the Buddhists
Let's go rough up some monks
Those semi-mystic, anti-dualistic
Morally relativistic punks
Instead of contemplating their navels
They can contemplate our naval might
Hone your epithets, grab a torch and let's
Go find somebody to enlight...en
Hey, dude
You look like you'd
Have a patri-idiotic attitude
Let's kick some Bude!
Oh...mmm

As for the bankers, which really isn't part of this topic, there are far more sports stars that make more money than they do. At least the bankers employ people, give them a paycheck and benefits, and at the same time make money. It seems nowadays everyone is against the rich. Think about how rich people make their money;they invent things, they make things, they sell things all of which keep and create jobs. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are richer than any banker on the planet but no one complains about them because we like what they make. Maybe if those guys weren't so greedy I could get an I-phone for 10 bucks! Without the rich creating jobs and in their desire to get richer they make more factories, make more jobs, and create a bigger sales force we really wouldn't have much to do would we? And we'd all be hungry and out of work!

Also- if any1 I spoke to at rally want 2be enlightened: read about "the 12th Imam" or "the 12ers" they CALL THEMSELVES.Radical Muslims WANT to bring a war /chaos to fruition so their "savior", the 12th Imam, returns& starts a world war so they can die in glory, get their 72 virgins & thus go 2 heaven &praise Allah. Read the Hadith
Read: The ISLAMIC ANTI-CHRIST by Joel Richardson and also THE TWELFTH IMAM by Joel Rosenberg: stop telling me tht these radicals NEVER SAID they want to kill Americans & apostates (& u CHRISTIANS & gays ...) Also: READ "JAWBREAKER" by G.Bernsten for a 1st hand view:Radicals vs America.
Whn the Quran&other 3 books were written, thr ws no America. It is recorded tht Islam WAS a "peaceful" religion in 6th century.Bt that whn Islamists cd nt convert Jews, Islam went violent... somewhere "betwn Mecca &Medina". Mohammed, Islam's central figure on earth, married a 9 year old & hd many wives. In America, tht is mostly not respected. So don't ask me honestly, wht radical Muslims hv against us.
My Muslim friends r not violent. They love America & they abhore th 9/11 terrorists (& Barry for that matter!)They hv told me their mosques fund no terrorists after we spoke abt it. They cd not answer, "R U sure?" They also respect Israel.
Whn so many Islamic TERRORISTS r SAYING & EXECUTING acts of terror against Americans AND Muslims, it is abt time a council is formed4 formal questioning & exposure. We need 2C who is coming into ths country incl STUDENTS

Bob, your statement "after we get rid of all the Muslims", is an error. No one wants to get of Muslims; we want to rid us of those that would do harm to this country and right now they seem to be the biggest group threatening our freedom. We have not made "jihad" with them but rather they with us. This is not and should not be a case of predujice against Muslim but rather those that would do our people, including law abiding American Muslims, harm. You cannot deny the fact that currently they are the largest single somewhat organized group that is tying to hurt innocent people. Detroit on Christmas day, Times square, Fort Hood, the new wacko in Texas and a few others not to mention 9/11. Did you know innocent people that went to work that day and never came home and were never found? Do you know people who's lives were forever changed, children that never got to enjoy their mother or father a few more years because they went to work and someone, not Muslim or Islamic terrorist, but someone flew planes into buildings where people of all races and religions worked to provide for their familes? Do you know mothers who had to bury their sons and daughters? I do!

Funny how we look back on the stupid and narrow-minded (the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s) and think that things like that could never happen again--and then along comes Pete King to scare people. And Marilyn, have some respect for the President you disrespectful twit. What exactly are you driving at with your "homicidal islamic" comment? Obama is an American--and your stupid attempts to bring him down ring hollow with normal people. Time for angry out-of-touch Pete

Isn't it funny how a noose can be found in the Nassau County PD station house after a black man is promoted, Roslyn Heights can have flyers with swastikas stuffed into every mailbox, and no one is brought to justice for those hate crimes despite a so-called "federal investigation"? Isn't it odd that there are at least five incidents involving swastika vandalism and attacks on Hanukkah displays a year with only the occasional teenager ever getting caught... all of this consistently happening in and around Parasite Petey's district? Next county over, the issues have already escalated into arson, assault & battery, & murder. Isn't it strange that Parasite Petey doesn't consider right wing white supremacist activity in his own area a form of terrorism? Now why do you think that could be?
Jews, African Americans and Hispanics who vote for Peter King should be asking themselves why he doesn't consider the rise in hate crimes by right wing neoNazi extremists a form of terrorism. They should be asking themselves that question now, and next time they are at the polls.

Eileen- Peter King is certainly fighting hate crimes- why do you say he's not? Just because he feels that the Islamic Jihadists are more of a threat right now and is working on that first? He is HOMELAND security- not Nassau and Suffolk Co. security. That is what our Police Officers are for. King is going after the major problem, those of country wide terror. Thank God some one has the guts to take that on.

Right wing white supremacist activity in our area ALONE outnumbers in it's success and severity ANY AND ALL radical Muslim activity over the last 10 years that has taken place on a National level. THAT IS A FACT. And the noose found INSIDE a Nassau County station house indicates that white supremacists have infiltrated the police force - which should be a matter for the Feds.
But in Peter King's bigoted world, terrorists can't possibly have white skin unless they also have leftist politics. With "protection" from tunnel-visioned bigots like this who NEEDS terrorists?

Thank God men like Peter King are still out there to protect ALL of us from the radical islamics that are moving into our country faster than we could ever imagine. Once plots are uncovered through the hearings, maybe we could talk again! And I feel, along with countless others, that the stimulus you find so great put our country into a tailspin that will take generations to overcome. GM should have been left to flounder and get itself out of trouble! Many corporations did just that and are today healthy! Throwing money at these corporations did NOTHING! Now they are even asking for MORE! This president has destroyed any hope we had of a speedy recovery from debt...and he's STILL SPENDING! Trying to sneak it through in other bills! Time for some fiscal conservative to take over and save what is left. Hopefully the money still in the stymulus pipeine can be recovered before more damage is done. This administration is so out of control with spending and burying their heads in the sand about terror implications that no one is safe inside our borders any longer. Is it going to take a 9-11 to wake them up? Oh yeah, obama SAID we could WITHSTAND another attack like 9-11. I forgot. Not to worry- he says we can afford to lose another 3000 people, or maybe more next time. The Islamic Extremists have been getting enough practice. And NY is a favorite target.

The fuel depot at Kenedy airport? The guy in Texas making bombs out of dolls? The guy who wanted to light his shoe on fire in a plane? Those guys were what?
Eileen Coles
12:12 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011
Those guys were both low hanging fruit, and stupid. Some of them were also entrapped by the FBI - they never would have done what they did without encouragement and money. Numerous security experts agree that anyone using the type of explosive the shoe or underwear bomber tried to use isn't serious. The explosive is inefficient - it failed both times. The Times Square "bomber" was trying to light propane tanks in a car - all that would have destroyed was the car itself. Convenient, well timed security theater designed to keep the sheeple scared and the sabers rattling.
Meanwhile, google "swastika" and "Long Island", and from the very long list that appears you will see three incidents which occurred in last November alone. It also seems to me that there are no "radical Islamic attacks" going on from within Nassau County police stations, but a hate crime was committed in the police station itself against a black employee and no one was ever caught. Doesn't it bother anyone around here that there's apparently one or more white supremacists running around in Nassau County who have access to a police station house, and who can commit and get away with an act of targeted intimidation when an African American is promoted? It sure doesn't seem to bother Peter King.

I think the laws of CA shd be made here as far as allowing the investigation of mosques suspected of recruitment and radicalization of devotees and.... of funding from anti-American terrorist organizations and government who fund terrorism and radicalization like the GZ mosque and the MBrotherhood.
Like Sheriff Leroy Baca is saying: he has found most Muslims do not even understand their own religion...that praying 5 times a day does not make you understand what Mohommad explains in the Koran. He says that Mohammed said that each Muslim is supposed to have respect for Christians and Jews, that this is PART of the islamic relgion.
So for radicalizers who BASTARDIZE this "peaceful religion" taught to so many in their homes, is CRIMINAL...and THIS BASTARDIZATION (incl from some CAIR members in Michigan, which gives so many doubt about CAIR's motives) is what is being looked at. So what is the problem all you "do-gooder" naivity-pleading leftists here?
Oh and Airgear, Airhead... perhaps YOU may stop your diatribe about Muslims being rounded up like Japanese and Germans, and because of McCarthyism. You are WRONG. Why do you focus in on things that haven't caused any physical harm to anybody, like a Nazi symbol or a noose, which is usaually done by some moron thinking he's funny and rarely by someone who means it but won't harm anyone even in their hatred of that person or group?

Terrorism: the act of frightening or extorting people into doing what you want. It's not as much about killing people as it is about frightening the ones who are left. A terrorist can achieve a victory without killing anyone. All that has to be done is sufficiently frighten people.
If a terrorist can target a black police officer from inside the very station house and get away with it, THAT is FAR WORSE than some fool messing around in a public area. It means that our police force has been compromised. It means one or more people on the force are carrying badges and guns, but cannot in reality be trusted to protect or defend people of color. It requires a federal investigation which never came up with any results on Peter King's watch.

Hey Kook, if you want to talk about war from the front seat, be advised I worked in WTC tower 2 and dodged a very real bullet on 9/11. You smarmy wingnuts are all alike. You wave the flag on 9/11 and stick yellow ribbons on your cars and that is as far as your sympathy and patriotism ever really goes. You fascist clowns probably would have asked people what their politics and religions were before saving them on 9/11, wouldn't you?
I also volunteered for combat duty when Desert Storm went down, but they wouldn't send me because I'm a woman and in those days they didn't do that. It's not like I wasn't ready to go. I am 3rd generation active duty and no REMF. Two full birds were fighting over who would get me, one in Ankara Turkey and the other my commander at Ramstein, but the Ramstein guy won. Turned out to be the right move because my clearance was still active and when the HQ USAFE intel database with the targets for Hussein's chem and biological sites started eating itself three weeks before the attacks on January 17th and they couldn't find the lazy fatcat civilian contractor who had utterly failed to train my replacement, they were still able to call me in at 3am to fix it. I know what I'm talking about concerning war a lot better than most, and CERTAINLY better than you do. You're missing a few chips, Kookie. You're a bite or two short of a baker's dozen. Grow up, or shut up.

The police officer can defend himself and if a police officer is intimidated by that he shouldn't be wearing a badge. A civilian in a public place is vulnerable. I know people who no longer fly because they feel the airplane will be blown up. Their lives have changed. I know people who avoid the city because they don't want to be there when something blows up. I watched a Muslim congressman lie his butt off yesterday about some poor maligned Muslim ambulance driver who tried to help in 9/11 but died but was mailgned anyway as one of the terrorist. His name was mentioned in the official 9/11 report as a hero. Where this congressman found the maligning stuff no one knows. I saw a Muslim man yesterday who's son became a radical and when he went to the Mosque and asked for help with his son he was threatened to be burnt in the eternal fires. You're right; forget about it.

Now Cole is God. Good luck with that.
Good on you for yr achievements. I am not yr enemy BTW.
& gee the world didn't stop after the King hearings.
& look @Barry 4 "fascism"; they're in his cabinet& 34minus 9 czars.
U mischaracterized Conservativism bec u must not see DANGER IN THE TERRORISTS' WORDS to America. So go on & live yr life. Don't judge me. I hv nothing to do w/lies.
I said "front lines" bec it appears you are nt understandg th source right in front of yr faces & how to go abt investigating.Listen to Mr Bihi fm Somalia. Listen to Mr. Bledsoe who's son "changed" after he wnt overseas & became a radical Islamist. Listen to Mr Jasser who actually hs sm perspective& life exp to come up w/some solutions 2keepg America SAFE. THESE MEN are NOT a Mr Clapper who thinks CHINA is our biggest threat to America at this time.
The Left hs no sound solutions but NEEDS 2 ridicule 4 lack of any othr argument.GoodLuckw/that2, babe. The truth /facts will prevail & is th best guide for safe nat'l policy.
The Left (& some R Progrssvs)wants 2lie abt reality &bury their heads i/o being ACCOUNTABLE....cover their ears, ignore the truth, con't2 disable America w/out-of-control debt & disillusion. They think factfindg& taking positive practicl action is "inhumane," "insenstitive", "rascist"; it is a useless attempt 2 remain stuck in a mindless "group" ideology...contg 2B unaccountible 4 thr own biases & misinfo. Its a sick co-dependence bet the Indivdual& "parental"Govt

These hearings r not over. CAIR & MB will be looked at more closely. This wl also incl the "next" corrupt terrorist-affil MB imam @the GZ mosque tht Bush & Barry love. Then watch how "stupid" Mr. King's investgatns turn out . Lk the oh-so-bloody-sure-of-themselves girls in the House said.... talk abt "theatre"...sorry.. theatre was on the pathetic man-tears-boo-hoo-Act by the MB / CAIR-lovers in Congress. U can look up the communists & socialists.

I am so pleased to see that Cookie and Captain Kirk have their heads on straight and know what is needed to be done by this admin. Thank God that the country is smart enough to not buy into the likes of Coles Liberal Progressive beliefs and theories.

Coles,
Wanting to go to combat does not make you a combat vet, regardless of what your preceding generations did. A REMF, like a Pogue, are those who are not at the pointy end of the spear. Guess what, sitting in Germany, even if you were in the most critical and important position in the entire world STILL means you were in the Rear and serving in a support role. (Turkey=REMF/POGUE, GERMANY=REMF/POGUE vs. Kuwait=Combat, Saudia Arabia=Combat). Additionally women DID serve in combat in the Gulf so don't hide behind that excuse. For reference look up BG Rhonda Cornum. You had a specific skill set, take pride in that and avoid the "I could have been a contender" lines. Along those same thoughts: being present at the WTC still does not make you a subject matter expert on all things terrorist. You complain that people here don't know what their talking about but not everyone feels the need to prove their credentials or belittle others in their attempt to make a point. You made a choice to serve in the military, don't tarnish that decision by lording it over others.

11Moron, I volunteered and was not sent. Not my decision. It was a decision enacted by a sexist civilian contractor. So if you have a problem with my lack of combat service, take it up with your fellow cluetard, not with me. Ankara was combat duty and in fact a Tech Sergeant who I would have been working with ended up being blown up in his car by the Kurds as a terrorist act. I guess you would call him a REMF too. Tell it to his wife and five kids, 11moron. You're a fine one to preach about belittling the service of others.
Your complete and utter lack of respect and compassion for what I went through on 9/11 is also duly noted, smarmy pseudo patriot. I don't pretend to lord it over others, but I certainly am not going to take any lip from fascist sock puppets who blither "never forget 9/11" while simultaneously wishing death on fellow Americans just because their politics are different. Maybe we should call you idiots the Box Cutter Party, you're so busy wishing death on everyone you don't agree with. It's really hard to tell you cluetards from the Taliban at all.
