Only if you don't stop for the light or make a turn on red going east.. I pass there all the time and I never see any trouble....what caused the accident?

I happened to drive past there just as the BFD arrived. What a mess - it's hard to believe there were no serious injures.

Hi, Joe- It was a miracle that my family- the passengers in the Nissan Rouge that was hit- are fine and were able to walk away from the accident. (Thank goodness for seatbelts and my daughter's car seat!) Both my husband and daughter were treated at NUMC and released tonight. I'm sure my husband will be quite sore tomorrow but right now we are just grateful. And...it's important to note that there are multiple accidents each month at that intersection. Please thank your photographer for the pictures. To be honest I was so concerned when I got to the scene that I forgot to take some myself.

Another failure to "police" the roads. It has been many many months that I have seen any police officer monitoring the traffic speed on Old Bethpage Road. that's your reason for the crash.

It's a bad intersection. Heading east on Haypath to make a left onto Painview road is very scary. Westbound cars zoom around other westbound cars on Haypath who are waiting to turn left onto Plainview road. Turning lanes or a turn arrow would really help!
