For 10th Year, Plainview's Relay for Life is Winner

$1 million goal is reached again in big event at middle school.

This year's big Relay for Life event at Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School managed to hit its ambitious goal again this year.

Now in its 10th year, the Plainview Relay hit its goal for $1,000,000, the same goal it has met for the last 10 years, organizers said.

Organizers issues a public "thank you" to the entire community for their support.

Many groups contributed photographs from the event. See some of them attached to this story. Feel free to upload your own right here to our "Boards," and tell the story of your individual efforts.

About 30 teams and more than 200 people took part in the overnight event at the Middle School. The teams include representatives of the Board of
Education, Plainview faculty, Plainview JFK students, Mattlin students,
and teams walking in the relay in memory of people who have died from
cancer-related illnesses.
