Plainview Readies for Relay for Life
Event set for 7 p.m. on Saturday June 8 at Plainview Middle School.
Plainview is but three weekends away from a major Relay for Life event, scheduled for June 8 at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School.
The event begins at 7 p.m.at the school, located at Central Park Road at Southern Parkway.
So far, some 29 teams and 170 participants have signed up and raised $26,916.75 in pledges. The teams include representatives of the Board of Education, Plainview faculty, Plainview JFK students, Mattlin students, and teams walking in the relay in memory of people who have died from cancer-related illnesses.
