Here are the top stories in and around Plainview Tuesday:

1. There's a Community Safety Forum planned for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Plainview Public Library. The event includes free photo ID cars and fingerprinting or all. There will presentations by the Nassau County Police on Cyberbullying, Internet Safety, crime and more. The event is free and open to the public.

2. An interfaith Thanksgiving service is planned for Tuesday at the Plainview Jewish Center at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited.

3. We are closely monitoring a winter-like storm that is moving across the Northeast and could cause travel problems Wednesday. Rain is expected to move in to our area on Tuesday. We'll keep you posted.
