Plainview Board of Education Trustee Angel Cepeda has been appointed Executive Director of Action Long Island (ALI).
“With his nearly 30 years of leadership in various organizations, Angel will provide the leadership, vision and a steady hand working vigorously with ALI’s membership, Federal, State and local officials, on behalf of the businesses and residents of Long Island," said Sheldon R. Sackstein, Chairman of the Board of ALI.
"Along with our dedicated Board of Directors, Angel will work to steer ALI in this challenging period of significant change, as ALI continues to provide its’ members with the strong voice of advocacy and networking opportunities through our many Task Forces", Sackstein said.
Cepeda brings years of leadership and management experience and extensive experience working with boards, managing committees and interacting with business executives, civic leaders and legislators at Federal, State and local levels.
He currently serves as a member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education; a member of the Executive Committee at Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association; member of Federal Relations Network; member of Supervisory Board at American Red Cross of Long Island and Finance Committee Chairman at Shelter Rock Church.
