Plainview Resident Peter La Barbera Jr. Raffle Contest Winner

Plainview resident, 77-year old, Peter La Barbera Jr., accepts his grand prize raffle contest win – a brand new Chevrolet, compliments of Bethpage Federal Credit Union.  Peter lives with his wife, Angie, in Plainview for over 48 years.  A retired engineer and former Cub Scout leader, Peter says he’s never won anything before, ”My wife and I are very lucky.  I’ve never won anything before in my life!  Thanks Bethpage!” Peter and Angie are the proud grandparents to six grandchildren.  This contest was a part of Bethpage’s “All American” summer campaign, designed to reconnect Long Islanders to the benefits of credit union banking.  “What’s more American than apple pie, credit unions and Chevrolets!” shared Linda Armyn, Senior Vice President, Bethpage.  This is the first time Bethpage has ever given away a car.  More than a 1,000 people entered the contest.
