Big Plainview Crowds Watch Jets Fall

A predominantly male crowd showed their loyalty in green and white at local eateries.

A host of local restaurants and bars attracted spirited crowds to Sunday's AFC Championship game and saw the Jets fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jets fans huddled together, draped in green and white, spending the game with other loyalists, hoping their team would make it to the Super Bowl. The Jets came up short, losing 24-19. Pittsburgh advances to the Super Bowl to play Green Bay.

The Main Event in Plainview attracted a large crowd starting early this afternoon, creating standing room only for latecomers. The entire restaurant, including hostesses, waitresses and fans wore their mesh Jets jerseys.

 Who-Ville bar and grill in Bethpage was also a packed house, fully decorated with dedicated New York fans, balloons and streamers.
