Community Corner

Erev Shabbat Sisterhood Worship Service at Temple Beth Elohim

We truly embrace Shabbat as a day of joy and merriment. To add to our delight we often enhance our worship experience by celebrating with members of our community creating a distinctive Shabbat experience. These special worship experiences include Brotherhood Shabbat, Sisterhood Shabbat, Marriage Re-Consecration Shabbat, 7th Grade Moving Up and Teacher Recognition Shabbat, High School Graduation Shabbat, Choir and Volunteer Recognition Shabbat, and we celebrate Jewish Music Month in the March. During the summertime we celebrate a few Shabbat evenings on the beach, complete with a community picnic dinner and a pot luck oneg/dessert.

In addition to our higher moments, we commemorate some of the darker eras in our history by observing Kristallnacht, and Yom Hashoah.
