"Fiorello!" Opens Saturday Night at Plainview Jewish Center

A new musical continues its run at CAP;

Plainview offers a variety of cultural options today around town, including the opening of "Fiorello" at the Plainview Jewish Center and a brand new musical at the CAP.

The highlights for Saturday: 

The classic Broadway musical opens tonight at the with a cast filled with local talent and even some political celebrities. With the music of Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock (collaborators of "Fiddler on the Roof") it's the life and times of New York's colorful, reforming mayor Curtain is at 8:30 p.m. Cost $18 in advance; $22 at the door. Also, Sunday at 3 p.m.

A new musical by Zach Zadek continues tonight at the , at 8 p.m. The story line is about six New Yorkers who find their lives intersecting after boarding a subway. Price $20. Also, Sunday at 3 p.m.

3. The South Levittown Lanes sponsors its weekly bowling league for those with special needs and their siblings from 2-4 p.m. Cost: $5 a week for 2 games and shoes.  No registration required. 

4.The stormy Russian Revolution is the backdrop for an exhibit of poster art at the in Roslyn. The message of the Revolution was spread through these inexpensively produced posters.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
