2. Turtle Hatching Day

Why Go: See and learn about the recently hatched turtles at the aquarium.
Pricing: $6 adults, $4 children and seniors
3. Children Sail on the Christeen
Where/When: Waterfront Center, 1 West End Ave., Oyster Bay, 516-922-3200, Friday August 19 @ 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Why Go: Raise the sails, tie knots, and touch an assortment of sea creatures on a sail on the Christeen. Children will also learn about Oyster Bay, trip is lead by the Coast Guard and is for children 7 and older. Please register.

4. Family Movie Night – “How to Train Your Dragon”
Where/When: , 999 Old Country Rd., Plainview, 938-0077, Friday August 19 @ 7 p.m.
Why Go: See the movie about Hiccup who is a Viking teenager who aspires to hunt dragons, but doesn't exactly fit in with his tribe's longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. His world gets turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view. This is a family event, parents or caregivers are asked to remain in the auditorium.

5. Summer Sundays: Agricultural Activities for Children
