Atria Senior Living of Plainview, an active aging community, and the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County recently kicked off their 2013 intergenerational reading partnership.
Atria residents and retired school teachers, Betty Waxenberg, Atria's active aging champion and ambassador, along with Ruth Sumkin, read educational story books to the kindergarden children.
