Get Away Day: Wednesday is get away day before the July 4th Holiday. Many people will be leaving work early for the start of what will be a four day weekend for most people. Expect an early Rush Hour.
LIRR Port Jeff: The LIRR will add extra trains heading east Wednesday afternoon in anticipation of an early rush. On the Port Jefferson line which serves Hicksville, there will be three extra trains. A 2:08 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica and Mineola, then making all stops to Huntington; A 2:29 p.m. train stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica andNew Hyde Park, Then making all stops to
Huntington; and a 3:24 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville.
Ronkonkoma Branch: The 5:21 p.m. train from Ronkonkoma to Yaphank will be extended Wednesday to make all stops to Greenport.
Sanitiation/S.O.R.T. There will be no sanitation or recycling pickup on Thursday.
Movie: The Plainview Old Bethpage Public Library will show the film "The Imossible," starring Naomi Watts at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
