Plainview-Area Summer Camps Offer Early Bird Specials

Take advantage of these great discounts at select camps in Plainview and surrounding towns.

Searching for your child’s summer camp doesn’t have to be a headache, especially if you register now. Camps for children all ages and interests in Plainview, Melville, Roslyn and Old Westbury are offering great discounts.

Here's our guide to local summer camps to get you started early:

  • Are your children consumed by the popular game, Rock Band? Let your kids live their rock star dreams this summer, by providing them with the opportunity to learn and improve their guitar, bass, drums or vocal skills, at Day Jams. Campers will play in a band, write an original song, perform live and design a poster and CD cover for your band, while making new friends. Beginners or experienced musicians, ages eight to 15, are welcomed to attend camp Day Jams at HANC Plainview Elementary School. A $60 Multi-Week Discount is automatically figured into Tuition Rates and a $25 Sibling Discount may be applied for each sibling attending camp. Contact Day Jams at 800-295-5956.
  • You’re never too young for camp at Miss Sue’s! Sue’s nursery camp is exclusively for children ages three to five, and provides weekly entertainment for your toddlers -- from musicians, circus acts, magicians and your child’s favorite game shows, to a petting zoo! Campers enjoy freshly prepared nutritious lunches, door-to-door bus service, towel service and Miss Sue’s camp bag and t-shirt. Enroll by 2/28 and receive an additional $100 discount. Contact the office for current rates: 516-938-0894. Sue's is located at 1191 Old Country Road in Plainview.
  • Did you know that there is a camp only for Plainview-Old Bethpage school children? Camp Apollo is identical to any day camp, providing campers trips, arts and crafts, dance, music, games, and sports, yet Camp Apollo operates as a private, non-profit day camp. Camp begins July 5 and runs through August 12. Register by March 8 and receive a $50 discount! Call (516) 938-2670 or email campappollo@verizon.net for details.
  • Receipient of Best of Long Island 2010 Award, Kenwal Day Camp, is located in Melville, on 20 acres of greenery accented by the finest facilities and equipment to ensure every camper, aged three to 15, has an unforgettable summer. With pre-school and kindergarten programs, to senior and teen camp programs, Kenwal offers unique activities for all ages! New to Kenwal this year is an inflatable water park! Their prime location means a short drive for eager Plainview campers. Camp season begins June 27 and lasts until August 19. Discounts available for a second, third, and fourth child.
