More Kid-Friendly Events Around Town Thursday

It's Thursday and rain is forecast for the afternoon. The temperatures should climb through the 40s today and a sunny, warmer weekend is in store.

Some of Thursday's options include:

1. The kids can join in on an "Amazing Race-" style scavenger hunt at the  from 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m. There's swim time and gym time included. Please pack a bathing suit and towel. A kosher lunch will be served. K-6 ages for children. Members- $55; non-members -$65.

2. It was inexpensively produced posters that carried the message of the Russian Revolution to the masses. The has some of these vibrant posters on exhibit this month. Cost $10, $8, $4 (members free.)

3. The , has a free showing of the musical favorite "Sleeping Beauty." The show is for ages 4 and up; it plays from 11 a.m. to noon. 11 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. 

4. Are you a veteran in need of assistance? The  at 1425 Old Country Road is open Tuesday and every weekday from 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The center has information on its services, pensions and disability benefits. Located in Building H.
