Plainview was awash in a sea of white Wednesday as brave souls attempted to navigate the community's snow-covered roads.
With schools closed and many businesses opening later, the morning rush was unusually calm. Some people ventured forth. Afternoon brought the sun, and with it life began to return to normal. And the kids, home from school for the day, headed to the hills.
