School Board to Discuss Possible Budget Cuts

Monday brings clearing skies from the weekend rain and temperatures in the 40s. The school board meets Monday night to discuss possible budget cuts. The library offers a host of activities today.

1. The Plainview-Old Bethpagemeets Monday night to discuss possible budget cuts and to conduct a budget review in a variety of areas. The meeting, at the administration office at Mattlin Middle School, is scheduled earlier than usual: 7:15 p.m.

2. There's free tax assistance at the  Monday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for seniors, 60 and older. There are many other "events"  scheduled today at the library.

3. The  on Southern Parkway is the site for a weekly session of The group lesson is taught by Ellen Golann and Sid Fidelman. Beginners from  9-10 a.m. ; intermediate from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost: $10.00
