Vets History Project at Atria Senior Living

Resident veterans are given the chance to tell their stories through film project.

The Veterans History Project, in collaboration with the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., is in full swing at Atria Senior Living in Plainview.

Veterans are offered the honor of having their stories filmed on camera and preserved for all time, both as a tribute to them and as a living legacy for generations to come.

Leon Lusterman, who served in the Army - 1st Infantry Division during WWII and received a Purple Heart, was the first of 2013 to be interviewed.
