Big Mother's Day Weekend Ahead for Plainview

The B-Sharps are in the semi-finals; Plainview has Nassau's best water.

Happy Mother's Day weekend: Here's wishing all of Plainview's mom's a wonderful day and a big "Thank You" for all you do from Patch. I was raised by a Plainview mom; I love you, mom. Happy Mother's Day.

1. Plainview's wonderful a cappella group, the of Plainview JFK, take the stage in airing Sunday night, May 13. The B-Sharps take on the Highland Voices of Northern Highland High School in the ensemble division. The winner is decided and voted on by the viewers and advances to the finals. Sunday’s episode will air on MSG Varsity, Optimum Channel 14 at 8 p.m.

2. I always said this growing up, but now it's official. Plainview has in Nassau County.and take our poll.

3. Later today, read about a Plainview mom and her son and a memorial donation from the head and heart. Later this weekend, look for a story about Plainview JFK's Softball team in playoff competition. These are among the many young people to be proud of in our town.
