Chaverim's Images of Israel

This remarkable photo exhibition by its members is on display at Temple Chaverim this week

Members of Plainview's Temple Chaverim have managed to capture slices of modern life in a land forever tied to antiquity.

In celebration of Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day,) presents "Impressions of Israel:  featuring artistic and creative images of the sights of Israel: the people, shopping, nature, foods, landscapes, buildings and more. The artists offer personal commentaries about the images as well.

This week-long event is free and open to the general public, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Temple on Washington Avenue.

The exhibit contains images photographed by members who traveled on Temple tours of Israel in 2008 and 2010. The exhibit was sponsored by Hi Tech Photo, Simply Wines and Liquors and the Art League of Long Island, which donated services and supplies for this event.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
