Community Safety Forum Tonight at Library

Discussion to include tips on storm preparedness and the recent precinct merger.

The hold their annual summer community safety forum tonight at 7 p.m. at the Plainview Library.

TODAY'S 5:

1. Tuesday night's program includes presentations from LIPA regarding storm preparedness and a discussion with that will include questions about the recent police merger of the 2nd and 8th Precincts. The session is open to the public and begins at 7.

2. Looking for some evening entertainment nearby: perform a free concert tonight at 8at in Massapequa. The town-sponsored concert features the singing talents of Michael Amante, Andy Cooney & Daniel Rodriguez.

3. More pleasant weather is expected today with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. More thunderstorms are predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.
