Free Concert Tonight Features JFK Choir

Evening of music at Good Shepherd Lutheran will raise awareness for malaria treatment in Africa.

On a hot summer’s evening, cool off in the air conditioning of in Plainview and hear the voices of local students. 

Members of the will perform their summer concert at 8 p.m. Friday. The concert is free, but a free-will offering is requested to fight malaria in Africa.

Every minute a child dies from malaria. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's s Malaria campaign is uniquely positioned to provide mosquito nets, insecticides, medication, health care, education and more to help eliminate deaths from this disease—for good.

All of the good-will donations will support this cause Friday night, church officials said.

I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
