Free Jazz Concert Saturday at Plainview Library

Plainview has lots of musical and artistic options going on this weekend, including a free jazz concert at the Plainview library.

Saturday's highlights include:

1. The public is invited to the  for a free jazz performance Saturday from 8-9:30 p.m. Saxophonist plays jazz standards and original compositions accompanied by piano, bass and drums.

2. It's family bingo night at  The event starts at 6 p.m. and reservations are required. Price: $10 adults $8 children.

3. There's a benefit concert of Irish music today at 4 p.m. at , in Syosset. The performance by is a benefit for the people Haiti. Price: $35.00. Concert is scheduled for outdoors.

4. The Nassau County in Roslyn has lots to offer, including a display of the poster art of the 1917 October Revolution. These graphic, inexpensively produced posters carried the Revolution’s message to the masses. Open from 11:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
