Holiday Inn Hosts Singles Event Friday Night

Two Plainview synagogues have special programs today.

Two Plainview synagogues have special events scheduled for Friday as the weekend begins with rain and a chance of wet snow. By Friday night the storm should pass, and there's a singles event at the Holiday Inn.

1. For a $10 cover, , invites singles ages 29-59 for an evening of dancing and mingling. The party, from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m., comes with a free dance CD and half-price drinks for "All The Single Ladies" until 10 p.m. The web site: http://vinylfridays.com

2. The presents an exhibit entitled "Neighbors Who Disappeared," a moving series of panels made by young people to commemorate the Jews lost in . The Exhibit will run every week on Tuesdays-through-Fridays until May 1. Open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.; free and open to the public.

3. The  welcomes Girl Scouts from the Nassau County area at the evening's service, from 7:30–9 p.m. Join us at services this evening as we welcome Girl Scouts of different faiths to our synagogue. April birthday blessings will also be a part of our service. Free and open to all.

4. The  offers a dancercise class Friday from 9:45-10:30 a.m. with trainer Carol Rodriguez. Open to all.
