In-Depth Look at a Torah Scroll

At the next "Lunch and Learn," Rabbi Conn explains the significance of the sacred scrolls

The is offering a lunch-time program of stimulating study, good food and great company at its next seminar, scheduled for June 15.

The June session is entitled "The Torah: Up Close and Personal." During the "Lunch and Learn," participants will get a first hand look at a Torah scroll, how the Torah scrolls are  put together and their symbolism and significance in Jewish tradition.

The session, to be led by Rabbi Steven Conn, is from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and is open to all. Please RSVP to the Temple Office by June 13 to join the Plainview Jewish Center for lunch. Suggested donation is $5 per person.

Lunch and Learn is held on the second Wednesday of each month. Founded in 1952, the Plainview Jewish Center offers a wide variety of programs and services to the community.
