Many Options Thursday at Library

"Doubt" resumes its run at Nassau Community College Thursday night.

The Plainview library is offering a cross-section of events Thursday, just some of the many area indoor attractions around the area for a suspected blustery day.

Thursday's options:

1. The  has an assortment of events scheduled Thursday, including exercise for seniors and a meeting of a philosophy society. Check out our Events listings for more details.

2. The offers, “.” See how the Revolution’s messages were distributed through the inexpensive graphic posters of the era. Open from 11 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. 

3. Nassau Community College presents John Patrick Shanley's play: "Doubt," Thursday at 8 p.m. Set in 1964 at a  Bronx Catholic school, a conservative nun suspects a progressive priest of sexual abuse against an altar boy. The audience must decide if the nun’s sense of judgment is being clouded by her dislike of the priest. Price: $9, seniors $7.

4. Plainview's Senior Citizen club offers lunch to Nassau seniors at noon, Thursdays during the school year at the Jamaica Avenue School. Suggested donation $2.

Richard, I agree. This road has so many potholes that were fixed, it dips and the county trees haveRead More lifted it up in areas that now hold water. I have ben living here for over 30 years, and I cannot recall it ever being done. It needs to be done soon, I so agree with you. Maybe Mangano will see this and do something, then again if we lived in Bethpage, it would of been done already.
