Rod Morgenstein super drummer for The (Dixie) Dregs, Winger, Jazz Is Dead etc Graduated from Mattlin, JFK Read the story of his meeting, dating and marrying his wife Michele in Plainview. Sadly she passed from cancer almost 6 years ago. http://www.rodmorgenstein.com/michele.html

I'd have to say Harrison Chad. He was the voice of Boots on the show Dora the Explorer. He graduated from POBJFK and I'm sure most Plainview residents know of him.

Ira Newborn...composed and arranged music for tons of movies, managed The Manhattan Transfer, and The Toni Tenille show,worked with Bette Midler, amongst others. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview HS in 1967.
