"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" is free at Plainview Library Wednesday

Sequel to the 1987 classic will have two showings today.

To paraphrase Gordon Gekko, "greed," is not only "good" but it's back in style as the Plainview Library offers two free showings Wednesday of "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps."

1. Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) returns from a stint in federal prison: The  has two free showings of "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," the sequel to the iconic 1987 film "Wall Street," that earned Douglas an Academy Award. The shows are at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Rated: PG13; open to all.

2. The presents an exhibit entitled a moving series of panels made by young people to commemorate the Jews lost in . Exhibit will run every week on Tuesdays-through-Fridays until May 1. Open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.; free and open to the public.

3. The met last night. We'll have a story later today in  It's part of our ongoing coverage leading up to the budget vote on May 17. We're looking for people to write about their concerns with the budget and the direction of the district, in general. Contact us if you have something to say.

4. The Nassau County in Roslyn has lots to offer, including a display of the poster art of the 1917 October Revolution. These graphic, inexpensively produced posters carried the Revolution’s message to the masses. Open from 11:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
