District Unveils Plainview's New Turf Field
First game on new field is set for Friday vs. Hicksville.
Plainview JFK's new turf field is virtually ready to go and host its first night game under the lights on Friday.
Dr. Lorna Lewis, the district's superintendent, released the attached photo of the field on Wednesday. If there are no complications, Friday night's opener, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. against Hickville, should be a sight to behold.
Here's Plainview JFK's varsity football schedule:
- Sept 12 @ 5:pm Farmingdale (Loss, 0-35; game played at P-OB Middle School.)
- Sept 20 @ 6:30 pm: Hicksville.*
- Sept. 28 @ 1:30 pm: at Hempstead.
- Oct. 5 @ 3 pm: at East Meadow.
- Oct. 11 @ 6:30 pm: Valley Stream Central*
- Oct. 19 @ 3 pm: Syosset*
- Oct. 26 @ 1:30 pm: at Massapequa
- Nov. 1 @ 6:30 pm: at Freeport
