Parenting Children with Special Needs: Community Catastrophes
Families with special needs have extra issues during and after a disaster. Here are some resources and some questions for you.
Now that my electricity and internet connections are back and my fingers have thawed out from no heat, I want to hear from you about your experiences.
Was LIPA helpful about your special circumstances? Have you used a shelter for families with special needs? I want to know if you have suggestions or information that can help other special families. Are there helpful resources your would like to tell us about?
Also, I pray that you and your families are in a warm safe home now and doing well.
