Stacy's Warriors Do Battle with Cancer at Jones Beach

More than 200 walkers earn $23,000 in name of cancer survivor Stacy Brennan.

A Plainview mom fighting cancer has a big-hearted team in her corner.

So big, in fact, that more than 200 walkers took part in the annual "Making Strides" American Cancer Society walk at Jones Beach on Sunday Oct. 20.

Along with many family and friends, many team members include members of the varsity and J.V. football team as well as Plainview cheer leading teams. Stacy is the J.V. cheer-leading coach.

Stacy's son, Danny Brennan, was a member of Plainview JFK's football team last season.

In all, the 200 walkers raised more than $23,000 for cancer fesearch.

Special thanks to photographer Chris Mongomery for these shots from Jones Beach.
