Local Businesses Honored by School District

Life Skills Program benefits students with special needs.

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education recently honored several local businesses for their participation in the district’s "Life Skills program.

As part of their educational program, special education students at Plainview JFK High School gain valuable experiences working in community enterprises.
 
Among the community businesses and institutions honored were the Mid Island Y JCC, The Gap, Shoprite, Marshalls and R.S. Precision. All were presented with a certificate of recognition for their dedication to Plainview-Old Bethpage students, school officials said.
