NeuLion Signs Florida Sports Deal

Plainview-based NeuLion has signed a deal to launch a digital sports network covering high school sports in Florida.

The agreement with Bright House Networks, the second-largest cable operator in Florida, will kick off in August, MultichannelNews.com reported.

The video will be available in real-time high-definition, with  Bright House subscribers able to pause, rewind and re-watch a game immediately after its conclusion and to see instant highlights.

NeuLion executive vice president Chris Wagner said: "The gap between professional sports, college sports and high school sports is closing. High schools can now produce quality video commonly seen in professional sports and deliver it across multiple devices to their fans in local areas.”

NeuLion also has deals with the NFL, NBA, UFC, MLS and NHL.

The company will launch a subscription-based collection of digital services with the Ivy League schools in August. It also provides streaming and TV Everywhere services for Cablevision’s MSG Varsity high school service.
