The ShopRite in the Plainview Centre is voluntarily recalling its 14 oz., store-baked raisin bobka bread with a sell-by date of Sept. 18th
The product contains undeclared almonds which could cause a reaction in people who have allergies to nuts and/or tree nuts, the company said.
The recall only impacts the Plainview store at 444 Woodbury Road, Plainview, just off South Oyster Bay Road. The recall only involves the store's 14 oz. store-baked raisin bobka bread with a
sell-by date of Sept. 18. Only the 14 oz. version produced at that store is being recalled.
This is an isolated incident
and affects this store only. No other bakery products are affected, company officials said.
“We are advising customers who purchased this product at the ShopRite of Plainview on Woodbury Road to return it for an immediate refund or replacement,” said ShopRite spokesperson Karen Meleta.
No injuries related to the recall have been reported.
