Get an early start on Thanksgiving on Saturday when Ray Venezia, Master Butcher at Fairway Market in Plainview will demonstrate the fine art of turkey carving
Venezia will provide the instruction from 1-2:30 p.m. at Plainview's Fairway Market on Manetto Hill Road.
Visitors will be able to sample turkey from Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch, the only farm that produces turkeys without the use of sub-therapeutic antibiotics and that uses profits to benefit other small, sustainable farmers.
Meet Danny Williamson from the Good Shepherd team. Fairway is the largest single buyer of Heritage Turkeys in the United States. Also sample sausage stuffing and cranberry chutney and ask Venezia all Thanksgiving turkey questions.
