Today is 'Bay Day' in Oyster Bay

Lots of free activities planned on Oyster Bay waterfront.

There's live music, food and free activities and crafts at "Bay Day," the annual celebration on Oyster Bay Sunday sponsored by The WaterFront Center.

The event, from noon until 5 p.m., includes a fishing derby (from the pier), face painting, sand art, t-shirt art, crafts and activities for kids of all ages.

Visitors can also try out sailing, kayaking, or stand up paddleboarding. All of these activities and Christeen sails are provided free. The highlight of the event is the "Anything That Floats Race" that kicks off at 4:30 p.m.
