There's free music at Jones Beach again tonight as part of an ongoing summer series and lots to do at the Plainview library.

1. It's Tribute Friday at  where, at 7:30 p.m. another popular local tribute band will take the stage. Throughout the month, expect to hear tributes to rock legends like Queen, Styx, Led Zeppelin and Van Halen. Free parking in Field 4.

3. The  has lots to offer today, including a new seminar about Dr. Abraham Low's system for helping yourself with low self-esteem issues. The session is open to all at 7 p.m.

4. With the afternoons hot and humid this week, consider some museum going: The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University presents Eastern Shores, an exhibit exploring the work of artists who deal with themes connected to the water. Daily 9:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
