Unpredictable Summer Weather Ahead

Storms forecast for Monday afternoon; Chapin Tribute Concert tonight at Eisenhower Park.

A week of changeable weather is forecast to begin on Monday after a delightful weekend of sun and moderate temperatures.

TODAY's 5:

1. The National Weather Service is predicting a good chance for thunderstorms and rain this afternoon. Tomorrow looks like hot and humid. The rest of the week could alternate between sun and storms, the NWS said.

2. In rain or under a moonlit sky, the "Just Wild About Harry" Tribute Concert at Eisenhower Park Monday is a great way to help the hungry. The concert, comprised of the talents of great area musicians, is in tribute to the late singer-songwriter and anti-hunger activist Harry Chapin, for whom the amphitheatre is named. The event runs from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Bring non-perishable food products.

3. A good nearby option is the new at the Nassau County Museum of Art.
