Spring cleaning checklist to get your home organized..
1. Clean Gutters: Add extensions to carry out the water 3-4 feet away from the house

5. Maintain Air Conditioners: clean filters, service and clean the drain
6. Exterior Walls: Check and repair siding, under eves, near gutter down spouts for any damaged, soft area, openings where carpenter ants, birds, squirrel, raccoon etc can make nest..
7. Attic: Get professional help to remove any critters or animals. Have proper insulation and good ventilation to deter any mold growth.
8. Deck: Check and repair any decay, splinter soft spongy wood, wash porch and patio floors
9. Side Walk & Driveways: To increase longevity reseal asphalt driveway 2-5 years and concrete driveway 1-3 years.

18. Check Batteries: For Smoke detector, Carbon Mono-Oxide detector, make sure it's installed on every floor
19. Clean Dryer Lint: Increases dryer efficiency, clogged vent are fire hazard
20. Keep Basement Dry: Does your basement smell musty? Use dehumidifier, paint basement with Dry-Lock. Best solution is to excavate outside wall and apply sealant, floor drain is better for house on the slope.

22. Termite Activity: Check for any mud tubes along cracks, baseboard, pipe, chimney, behind siding, plumbing area etc. Winged termite swarmers are attracted to light and their discarded wings are found near the doors, window, vent, light fixture.
