A two-car rush-hour crash on Old Country Road Monday evening caused one vehicle's engine to burst into flames.
The collision occurred at Old Country Road at Barnum Avenue and left a Ford Edge in flames. Plainview Firefighters under the command of Chief Craig Robinson quickly put out the blazing engine.
The driver of the exploded car got out safely and no serious injuries were reported, firefighters said.
