Child Speech Pathology Forum Tonight

A wide range of events will be taking place in and around Plainview today.

There’s a lot to do in the Plainview area today, including high school sports games, library activities and more.

1. Don’t forget the meeting of the Friends of the today at 9:30 a.m. in meeting rooms C & D. The friends provide support to the library’s programs for all residents to enjoy.

2. Looking to take in come culture today? Head over to the Nassau Museum of Art anytime between 11 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. and see the latest show, “.” See how the Revolution’s messages were distributed through the inexpensive graphic posters of the era.

3. On the sports front,  boys’ lacrosse team will be playing at Port Washington High School at 4:30 p.m. today. The varsity softball team will be taking on Oceanside High School at home at 4:30 p.m.

4. Come back to Plainview Patch later today and check out "Frugal Family" to find some great deals around town.

5. Join other local parents for “Why Isn’t my Child Talking Like Other Children His/Her Age?” today at 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the . According to the library’s website, speech pathologists will participate in a panel to talk about questions of speech development in kids.
