LIRR Ticket Machines Not Taking Credit Cards

Computer malfunction to blame, railroad says.

The Long Island Rail Road is reporting a malfunction involving its ticket machines system wide, including Hicksville, Bethpage and Syosset stations.

LIRR Ticket Machines are not accepting credit or debit cards due to a computer system malfunction, the railroad said Thursday.

The machines are accepting cash only, according to the railroad.
