Thanks, Patch Readers: Our Facebook Page Just Hit 1,000 'Likes'

Patch wants to say thanks to its readers.

We at Plainview Patch want to give a big shout-out to our readers today.

On Thursday afternoon, less than two years since we launched, Plainview Patch hit 1,000 likes on its Facebook Page.

The milestone is indicative of the growth of Patch all over Long Island. We hit this point because of the dedicated readers who not only read our site, but who actively participate in it with comments, blogs, photos, announcements and story ideas.

The Facebook Page (here) is just one way our readers learn about our stories. We use Twitter to send news flashes to our followers and offer a free daily newsletter directly to your email that contains the day's news highlights (see below how to sign up.)

Thank you to all our readers and friends who have made this online news product so special. Next goal: 1,001, because each reader is special at Patch.

Let Patch save you time. Get local stories like this delivered right to your inbox or smartphone everyday with our free newsletter. Simple, fast sign-up here.

When you consider the population of Plainview and how many of that population are on Facebook I would say you are doing pretty well. Nice job, Joe. Keep up the good work.
