Weather Alerts Issued

Flooding, more rain are in the forecast.

A heavy storm triggered a flash flood warning for Long Island until mid-afternoon Sunday and a watch that continues through Monday.

The Plainview area  was hit by heavy rains overnight and more is expected through late Monday.

A watch means that conditions could lead to flash flooding and that residents should monitor forecasts. Local TV and radio stations were asked to activate their emergency alert system in case dangerous conditions developed.
