The Concerned Citizens of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community invite residents to attend December 19th “Winter Community Safety Forum”
Traditionally between the change from daylight savings time, and the holiday season there is an increase in our local crime rate, which has already been evidenced in our community. To that end, Concerned Citizens President-Carol Meschkow is pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring their Annual Winter Community Safety Forum with representatives from the Nassau County Police Department, on Wednesday Evening, December 19th at 7:15PM. The venue for this year's program is being provided by our friends and neighbors at Somerset Gardens Senior Living, 150 Sunnyside Boulevard, Plainview, NY 11803.
The Nassau County Police Department will offer insights and tips on home and community safety and address the recent burglaries and vandalism in ours, and the surrounding communities (see news article: http://plainview.patch.com/articles/sudden-outbreak-of-burglaries-in-plainview-area ). A Question and Answer Period and Refreshments will follow this informative program.
The Concerned Citizens looks forward to the community availing themselves of this vital information and working together to keep our community safe.
